Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park has announced that additional programming will be offered to visitors from March 3 through March 18 at the LBJ Ranch. Spring Break at the LBJ Ranch 2018 will offer park visitors opportunities to further explore and discover the park’s historic resources and delve deeper into the story of the 36th president and the LBJ Ranch.

Visitors can join park rangers and volunteers to learn about the important role aviation and the US Secret Service played at the ranch, become more familiar with Johnson’s environmental and education legacy, explore some of the natural features of the park, talk with the park’s curatorial staff about historic preservation, and much more. “Over 2000 visitors attended programs during Spring Break at the LBJ Ranch last year,” said Park Ranger David Graveline, “and we are very excited to bring this unique opportunity back for a fourth consecutive year and have it be the best one yet.”

Programs will be offered free of charge at locations throughout the LBJ Ranch including at the Reconstructed Birthplace, Show Barn, historic Hangar Building, and around the Texas White House complex. Programs will run 20 to 40 minutes in length and will be scheduled at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 2:00 pm each day. For the complete schedule visit http://www.nps.gov/lyjo or View On Facebook.

Texas White House tours will continue to be offered each day from 10:00 am until 4:30 pm. Tours are $3.00 per person 18 and over. Children 17 and under are free. Due to expected high levels of visitation, park visitors are encouraged to arrive early in the day during Spring Break.
