To create Armadillo’s Leap wines, winemaker Dave Kuhlken turns to the New World taste for experimentation to produce fruit-driven single varietal wines and non-traditional blends. Visit us at one of our two locations. You’ll find us on Main Street in Fredericksburg, as well as just east of town along Highway 290, where you are welcome to taste and sip on our covered outside patio.

Armadillo’s Leap Winery is the creation of the Kuhlken-Österberg family, best known in Texas wine circles for founding Kuhlken Vineyards and Pedernales Cellars. Armadillo’s Leap, as its tongue-in-cheek name suggests, is the family’s chance to experiment and have fun while giving back to the Texas community. A portion of every case of wine sold in its tasting room will go to charity. Open every day 11-6.
