The Pioneer Museum is debuting a new walking tour of Fredericksburg’s West End that will begin at the Schandua House at 111 E. Austin St. The tour time lasts approximately two hours. The tours will be guided by Fredericksburg natives and will cover areas not normally available to visitors. Learn about the origins of German immigration to Texas, hear about the original buildings and inhabitants of these buildings and learn the basics about the architectural style used by the early immigrants. The tour will be offered every Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. from March 15 through May 31, at $15 for adults and $10 for students. The tour is not recommended for small children.
