Mar 31 2017 to Apr 01 2017 Second annual event hosted by the Texas Rangers Heritage Center. Opening day activities from 10 am to 4 pm on Friday will include historical re-enactments, cannon firing, cowboy poets, campfire stories and trick roping. Vendors will be on site selling food and wares. The event is free and parking is $10 per car.
On Saturday, the celebration will continue with a performance of the Old Chisholm Trail Western Variety Show at 10 am and 2 pm. Throughout the day there will be other shows such as World Champion Trick Roper, Kevin Fitzpatrick, and Pistol Packin’ Paula, both performing on the amphitheater stage. Another performance will be the “Circle of Life” Gathering 2017 Fredericksburg. Featuring the history of the American Indians in Fredericksburg, this exhibition of traditional dances and song of the Lipan Apache and Comanche Nation will surely bring history to life for all who attend. That evening starting with cocktails at 6 pm will be “Boots & Badges” featuring a chuck wagon steak dinner at 7 pm and concert by Gary P. Nunn at 8:30 pm. Rounding out the weekend on Sunday morning will be Cowboy Church at 9:30 am. Admission is free and all are welcome.
